WOMEN A.R.E.

Awakened.Restored.Evolved.

A Luxury Leadership Retreat for Women
In the Heart of the African Wild

21 to 25 May 2026 | Kruger National Park, South Africa

Where Luxury Meets Leadership.
Where the Wild Restores the Woman Within.

WOMEN A.R.E. is a transformational leadership retreat designed exclusively for women in business – executives, entrepreneurs, and changemakers who are ready to lead with authenticity, balance, and purpose.

Set in a luxurious four-star lodge offering five-star service, deep within South Africa’s world-renowned Kruger National Park – one of the planet’s most extraordinary natural sanctuaries, this immersive experience combines world-class leadership coaching with the restorative power of nature.

Led by Pam Yako, certified women’s coach and leadership strategist, this intimate programme reawakens the woman behind the professional – helping you shed the weight of imposter syndrome, rediscover your confidence, and realign with the leader you were born to be.

Leadership Rooted in Purpose
and Sustainability

The most powerful leaders today are not those who stand apart from the world, but those deeply connected to it.

WOMEN A.R.E. invites you to lead with awareness – to rediscover your natural rhythm, your intuition, and your responsibility as a guardian of people and planet.

For women who already feel the call of environmental consciousness, or whose work touches sustainability, social impact, or community development – this retreat will feel like coming home.

Through daily reflection in nature, guided game drives, and soulful coaching sessions, you’ll explore what it means to:

Africa - The Source of Our Power

Held in the Kruger National Park; a natural wonder of the world, this retreat is both a homecoming and an awakening. Africa – the birthplace of humanity – becomes your mirror and your muse. Immersed in the wild, you will experience what it means to truly lead in harmony with life. To find your rhythm. To walk lighter, yet stand taller. To reconnect with your inner wisdom – and remember that leadership begins where awareness meets action.

As the retreat concludes on Africa Day 2026, we celebrate not only your personal transformation, but the rise of women leading with consciousness, compassion, and courage across Africa and the world.

The world doesn’t need a perfect woman.
It needs a whole, awakened one.

I’ve always believed that leadership is less about authority and more about authenticity – about using knowledge, compassion, and courage to make a lasting impact. That belief has guided me throughout my career, from leading national institutions to coaching women to rise into their own power.

With more than two decades of executive experience in leadership development, governance, and environmental management, I’ve had the privilege of serving South Africa in several key leadership roles – including Director General at both the Department of Water Affairs and the Department of Environmental Affairs, Chief Operating Officer at the Department of Environmental Affairs, and Municipal Manager at the Amathole District Municipality.

Since founding Zenande Leadership Consulting in 2009, I’ve focused on cultivating purpose-driven leadership that balances human development with environmental stewardship. My work is rooted in the belief that when we lead with clarity, authenticity, and heart, we create organizations – and societies – that thrive.

My journey has also taken me into spaces where leadership meets conservation and tourism, two causes close to my heart. I’ve had the honour of serving as Chairperson of both the South African National Parks Board and the South African Tourism Board, as well as a member of the South African National Biodiversity Institute. I currently serve on the Boards of South African Airways (SAA) and the Seriti Institute.

Academically, I hold a Master of Business Leadership from the University of South Africa and a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Industrial Sociology from Rhodes University.

Today, as a Certified Executive and Women’s Coach, I’m passionate about helping women across Africa step into grounded, conscious, and transformative leadership – the kind that uplifts people, communities, and the planet.
